Today I ran 1/3 of a mile, not far I agree, however I'm 51 and have not run anywhere in over 15 years. 7 weeks ago I had a stent fitted 4 weeks ago i entered the cardio rehab program.

To all those thinking about starting to run, just do it I've not felt this good about myself in a long time πŸ˜€

Hi and welcome!

Are you following the NHS C 25k programme that many of us on the forum have or are currently following? Ive posted the link below.

If so it will give you a planned way to build running skills hopefully without risk of injury. Alongside that, this forum will support, encourage and advise when asked if you wish to post. Or you can just browse posts and responses. Either way it is good to have you on board.

Good luck and best health!

Well done for getting out there. The programme is great for getting people running. It eases you in gently so there is a lower risk of injury. Have fun and enjoy!
