Baptism by Snow!

nothing motivates a runner like 'oh heck, I have a virtual 5k to finish before the end of the week' thus, my lazy little body got suited and booted and despite the 'Beast from the East' in effect, I donned my fluffy hat and gloves, set up my running lights on my shoes, fired up Zombies, Run! (ah, my lovely buddy Sam Yeo, I've missed ya!) and, after promising Mr Psycho that I'd call on my mobile if I got into trouble, I set off out the door.

And oh my gosh it was glorious! So lovely and cool, it was a bit like running through a Christmas card.

OK, it was more a jog-walk-jog than a run, but it was SO lovely to be out, having my bestest buddy Sam Yeo chatting away and keeping me safe from the Zombs and I could feel the lovely crisp air clearing the gunk of the Lurgy out of my lungs.

I only turned back because it started snowing a bit heaver and I had the old runners problem of I needed to blow my nose and had completely forgotten my tissues.

Not one of my best timed runs, but as a 'get back out there' it was absolutely fabulous.

I'm less worried about the Zombies and more worried about the people of New Canton trying to kill or kidnap me. (Screw New Canton! Abel Township forever! ;) )

Fortunately, my bestest buddy Sam Yeo was looking out for his Runner 5 ;)

it's loads of fun, I can't recommend the programme enough. makes me feel like I have an objective

Nice to go out - I think the tissues issue is a big one, I’m now carrying what seems like half a box of Kleenex with me every time I run. well done on facing down both the beast and the zombies

thank you. Every time I go out running, I get halfway through the route and then remember 'I forgot to bring tissues. I swore I was going to bring tissues'

It really was nice to get out and run in the snow
