Well after a very slow start repeating weeks two and three I have been plodding through the programme and today completed wk7 run 2. 25 mins of running seemed a very long way off back in December. I am going very slowly and 5k seems an unachievable dream but I am going to keep the faith and believe it will happen. The hip flexor issue is so much better. It’s a tight muscle that needs stretching but isn’t causing me any inconvenience. The new trainers are working well.
This programme is amazing. Thanks Sarah Millican for keeping me on track - and it’s so helpful reading other people’s stories on here too. Thanks all.

I trained with Sarah too, and repeated several weeks due to illness breaks, so like you it took me much longer than 9 weeks to graduate. I actually found it easier from week 7 onwards. Partly because I was so much fitter, but mainly because my body preferred slow and constant running to all that stopping and starting 😄
I did the same run last night. Also listening to Sarah. I can’t believe I’ve got this far either!! 25 minutes??? It really did seem unachievable but I’ve done it twice!
