Week one done!

Forced myself to go out in the dark after work in order to stick to my day on/day off schedule, so hopefully I will be at 5k in less than 9 weeks. One of my excuses when I got out of running last time was not wanting to run in the dark and cold. No more excuses this time. Beyond 5k I hope to make this a lifestyle change and carry on permanently. I really don’t enjoy running much but I like the satisfaction of finishing the runs and just getting out in the fresh air after being cooped up in an office all day. Now bring on week 2! 💪🏻👟🏃🏻‍♂️

Well done for making such a determined start. You may well find that the running becomes more enjoyable if you go slowly and gently. During The early weeks I enjoyed the end of run euphoria and the satisfaction of completing each run. As time has gone on, I have enjoyed the running itself more. Hope that happens for you too. 😄
