Well...what a start to the day...up & out of bed at 8 with the intention of doing the park run...new sports bra waiting for its first outing in the box on top of my drawers, so I starts getting my kit on, starting with bra...it’s one from the baskets at Lidl...well, guess what? It’s going back to the baskets at Lidl!!! Christ, it kept pinging open before I could get the flaming zip fastened at the front...after numerous attempts & getting more & more annoyed I stuffed it back in the box & retrived my faithful, usual choice, out of the drawer.....dressed & stressed within the first 10 minutes, this may not be the best day for a run....downstairs ‘oh no my phone’s on 1%’ shall I attempt my first ever run with no tech?’ No, I’ll download the podcast & Strava onto hubbys phone..ok, downloads done, trainers on, headphones in I head across the road to the park...it’s raining & windy but nothing that i haven’t run in before..after all, it was snowing last time I was out!!! Fiddling about with hubbys phone, the podcast wouldn’t play, said it was unavailable...everyone was heading for the start line...I looked up, saw how muddy the field was, turned around & went home...

Half an hour later, when my phone was charged enough to last, off I headed back out of the door, in the wind, in the rain...but my day had turned full circle...the wind blew the dressed & stressed feeling away and my feet ran through the puddles like I was 10 years old!!! Running is the best feeling in the world to me...yes it can be tough & not always seem like the right thing to be doing, but once you’re out there you soon see that it is right, nothing will turn a day round like a good run...so if in doubt get yourself out!!!! You’ll be better for it...

Happy running my friends & have a great weekend x

Well done for getting out there eventually. I thought my park run would be muddy but frozen ground saved the day!

Glad you sorted your new gear out! 😂

Thanks Cornet-Carolyn ..glad the mud was frozen for you, I hate mud, can’t get a grip & slide all over the place, think our organisers are trying to get the council to put a path round the park for the park runners, that would be a godsend...😉

Thanks Oldfloss ...was def a good run 😉

Hmmm...it seems to me sports bras are hit and miss. Most of the ones Ive tried are the crossover strap type that you put on over your head, and they take me ten minutes to escape, like Houdini from a strait jacket. In the end I paid silly large money and got mine from Bravissimo (since I seem to have managed a D cup for the first time in my life - where were these super bazookas when I was 14 years old, 32 double A, and contemplating bust developing creams?)

Glad you got a good run in the end, despite technological hitches and uncertain weather!

Ha ha...I know just what you mean!!! Always small until my youngest was born then ‘whey hey!!!’ I’ll have a look at bravissimo...we all had a conversation about sports bras a good few months ago & it was hilarious!!! I’ve had two new bras over the last couple of months...both rubbish!!! The search continues.......

Awww Beth, its so good to hear from you...how you doing? How’s you lil puppy???

This was one of those ‘it’s not gonna happen’ runs...but it did..when I plan a run day, it happens, come rain or shine...I have enjoyed winter this year, I hated winter before I started running but I’ve been out in all weathers & proper enjoyed it xxx

Good going MC! Blimey all that faff and you still managed it, bloody well done!! M&S sports bras aren't bad and fairly cheap.

Thanks Fishypieface ...I just knew when I walked over to the park, faffing, it wasn’t going to happen...& when I saw the mud there was no way I could run in that with nobody telling me what to do!!! I half expected one of the officials to shout “Oi, you, where you off???!!!!!” Ha ha...!!! But, I had my kit on & I wasn’t changing out of it till I’d been out, so it was a must!! 🏃🏼‍♀️💪🏻 I’ll def have a look at M&S...such a tricky thing to shop for!!!
