Technology!

I do hope someone can help me. I am about to complete wk6 but have to sum up courage as I'm sure I will find a long run hard. I have so far run it all on the treadmill at the gym, using the podcast on my ipod which is on my arm. Now I will be doing longer runs, outside, I would like to choose my own music via the app on my phone, but am wondering where to put my phone? All the arm bands for a Samsung S4 seem to have a problem judging by the reviews. Also the wires are already a problem. Do some people use wireless headphones with the phone in a pocket (my leggings don't have a pocket)? The phones a bit heavy to put down my bra!

I tried the armband but couldn’t get into it. I use a running belt and find this a lot better, worth looking into

I use a belt too, but do make sure your phone fits before ordering online.

I have a running jacket with a chest pocket so phone and most of the wires go in there. Failing that ( when too hot for the jacket- so not now) I use a bumbag and run the wires under my clothes. 😀

A running belt is great. Make sure the zip up pocket will accomodate your phone. You can manage with wired headphones, but wireless ones make it much easier too...

Good luck venturing outside its a different experience to the treadmill, take it steady.😊x

Don't put your phone in your bra, someone said this is not recommended for health reasons.

Sports Direct* have belts, about £6. Try before you buy if you have a local one.

*Other Outlets are available.

Most now have a little hole for the lead to come through.

Get wireless headphones and treat yourself too a Fitbit not only will this measure heart rate, steps, time, distance etc but it also allows you to change song so it's easy as it's on your wrist you don't need to get phone out of pocket :)

Does the fitbit store the music and the app? Thanks for your reply

No, the music and the app will both run on your phone. Fitbit is a nice idea but not essential.

Go to Amazon and look for MPOW wireless headphones. Should not cost more than £15.
