Supposed to be starting week 8 run one this morning . Felt a little under the weather yesterday but brushed it off and still planned to get up and do the run as planned. Terrible night sleep and turns out got full blown flue kicking in so obviously run is off hope this blows over quick so I can atempt the run tomorrow or Wednesday grrrr . No in a normal situation I would not be that concerned but I travel to Lanzarote 2 weeks today for a weeks holidays and was really hoping to graduate before leaving .with the intention of having two post graduation runs in Lanzarote. Now my wife says if it comes too it we will just have to complete the program out there but I'm a little concerned with it being an all-inclusive and I like my beer a lot and haven't had one now for 35 days so I'm planning on hitting it hard lol ... But in my head also I have had three of my most enjoyable route planned for our graduation week hope this don't screw it up 😒😫😫😫

If it is Influenza..it will be a much longer job.
Just take time to recover. The runs are still there...believe me. If you have to take a break and also, taking your holiday then either run out there, or wait until you get back home...
Running with a severe illness, which flu is, can be dangerous... I quote...
"When people say they have the flu, they’re talking about a respiratory illness caused by a strain of the influenza virus.
The flu has many of the same symptoms as the common cold, which is also a respiratory illness, but the symptoms—coughing, congestion, fatigue, etc.—are more severe with the flu. You’ll have a fever with the flu, as your body’s immune system goes into overdrive to combat it. The muscle aches and severe fatigue you get with the flu stem from this increased activity of your immune system.
....If you have flu like symptoms, especially achy muscles or a fever, you should not run. Running with a fever is not only dangerous, but will significantly increase the time it will take you to get back to 100%. ... Likewise, running compromises the immune system, particularly in the first 20 hours after strenuous exercise.
So, is it worth it... probably not... heal well..enjoy your hols and get back to it afterwards..

If that is flu, you wouldn’t be contemplating running so soon.
Take it easy as Oldfloss says. Give your body a chance to fight back to recovery.

As someone who has had the flu doing the rounds this year my advice is take it easy. Your holiday should be your priority if it kicks in big time like mine did you won’t be running before your holiday but if you look after yourself you will feel ok ready for your holiday. I know when you're going through the program it feels like the end of the world when you can’t complete a run when you should, but it is just a small drop in the ocean compared to you running history that is to come. Look after yourself and take care.
Thank you all for your replys I'm still ruff and we have decided what happens happens but I'm determined not to let this hicup spoil things looks like I'll be doing all week 9 on hols if I can get week 8 done before I go tyty
