back on wednesday we managed to do run 2 but I didn't get round to post as immediately after I went to the pool and did a few lengths and spent some time in the sauna...very relaxing. Exactly the same distance as R1 maybe a bit better in the recovery department so we are confident about r3.
We are trying a new format to our weeks. We don't like the two day gap between weeks so we are going to be doing Monday Wednesday Saturday. We are also going off road next time and trying to do one run a week...Saturdays...in the morning and off road. So r3 is tomorrow! A little bit nervous of being on grass and also being broad daylight but we hope it'll be OK.
Friday being up to now a run day we are watching hint videos on YouTube and checking out running shoes to buy at the weekend!

Yes! I expect we'll have to do that later on...when the weeks are all the same runs as they are now the big step is from one week to next and a two day gap means we are a little more out of practice for that first longer run...but I appreciate when we get to the more individual runs we might do well to build in some recovery from the longer individual runs!
You are doing really well! - and I'm impressed with your organisation. 😄
You talk about to a two day gap meaning that you are not so much in practice. - Remember that 'rest days' are a bit of a misnomer. You can do non impact exercise such as walking, swimming, Pilates on rest days, ( e.g. I usually walk, cycle or do Pilates). - it all adds to that growing fitness that you are cultivating. 😀
