I have just finished a run which was a mishmash of running and walking, maybe even more walking than running and took a different route on the airfield. I don't know how far it was but I felt more comfortable which is the aim at the moment. I can build up in stamina and confidence from there.

You got out there, that's the main thing. Changing your route is always a good idea. Every run is making you stronger.

Keep up the good work ... happy running!

I am a graduate but I've found it hard running far since then. I am following what various people have suggested to improve things.

I love running and walking. It takes me far, it's enjoyable, it's flexible. Sounds like it's working for you.

I do a lot of Galloway runs, I find I can keep going for much longer, and cover more distance with less fatigue. I agree with RWD, it takes me far, it's enjoyable, it's flexible, what's not to like?
