W1 Run1 complete I am thinking of doing the next run whilst pushing my baby. Anyone done this before?

Congratulations.

Yes we have had pram pushers in the past, but I think most found someone to leave their precious bundles with by the time they reached the latter stages.

The guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... for a newcomer

Well done you!

Afraid I can't give any advice on pushing your little one ... my son was 31yrs when I did W1r1! However I am regularly overtaken on Parkrun by young Mums (and Dads) pushing buggies so I know it can be done.

Let us know how you get on. Good luck with your running!

I'm about to start week 4 and I push my little one on all my runs. The pushchair helps me keep my pace. It is how I get to do it so better to run with than not! I do have quite a good suspension on the pushchair though. Well done on week 1! X

Do bear in mind that you are running with no arm action. Arm pumping is crucial for power, especially uphill.

Are you putting your child in a pram before pushing them?, only kidding, I guess it might be possible to do up to and including week 3 with a pram but tricky after that?

Thanks one and all for your advice. To be honest it is lovely to come away from the children to clear my head. But of my husband is working evenings was going to try fitting it in with a buggy. Wednesday I will try it out and see how we get on. Goodluck to one and all who have also started 👍🏻

My niece does! She was very fortunate to be gifted a proper running pushchair. How fab is that! Baby is fine with it 🙂

A young woman races at our Parkrun with her babe in the buggy. You can see it’s harder work for her upper body 💪🙂👍🏃‍♀️ You won’t be going fast so that’s all right then. Slow and steady be your mantra

Have fun 🙂🏃‍♀️
