Hi everyone,

After getting to week 8 run 1 at the end of November I did something very painful to my calf muscle 😂 It’s only just got better... hey ho back to week one! Taking it very gently this time.

Just to say I find reading everyone’s posts really helpful and motivating.

I’ve started to use a foam roller after runs, painful but worth it!

Also, have you had a gait analysis - an investment in new shoes may help

I’m in the same boat! I’ve had a tier one calf tear and it’s still not healed. I haven’t run for 10 weeks and I’m thoroughly fed up as I was on Week 9. How on earth it happened I haven’t got a clue! ☹️

It's really annoying isn't it.? The doctor said my body was still adapting and I was probably pushing too hard up hill. Good luck with yours - go gently!

Congratulations on coming back. Take more rest days in between would be my advice.
