It really will get easier, I completed wk8 r2 today, and honestly, running the 28 minutes was less exhausting than the very early weeks.
This programme works, you will read that again and again on this forum from people that started out thinking that they were too old, too fat, too unfit to run, and yet here we all are. If you are struggling, slow down, be proud that you can run slower than you can walk, because in the end that will make you a runner. Best of luck, enjoy the journey
It gets easier!! Go really slow, relaxed and steady - walking pace running is fine. One run at a time you will do this!! 😃
I am on Week 3 run 2 today.. i did week 3 run 1 sunday and was scared at the thought at running for longer intervals but i felt ok and could have run for longer. Comparing that to how i felt Week 2 run 1 was completely different. I was in agony with stitch pain and couldn't breathe. Even 1 week has made a difference to me.. we can do it, no matter how slow we go.. 😣 xxx
Well done! You must be over the moon. I too have just completed Run 1 week 2 (by accident actually, thought I was doing Week 1 again because I was struggling - i'm 58) so can't believe that I did it! This forum really motivates me to go on, so keep at it you are doing great.
