I went into work today (I'm a teacher - it makes up for all the holidays right?) And on the way home was planning Sunday in my head. And ... I found myself getting excited at the prospect of trying out a new route tomorrow along with my first go at the C25K+ stamina podcast.
I mean Me? Excited?? About running??? 😂
On a slightly separate note the the outside of my right hip feels a bit sore. It doesn't hurt at all when I'm running but I notice it with some movements like getting into the car and when I lie on it. Should I be worried?

Will do - have found some post run stretches on the NHS site - I do some of these already but not the one specifically targeting hips so will give that a go. Won't risk doing serious damage - how would the new me cope? 😂
Brilliant!!! Your old self is probably sat on the couch dunking rich tea biscuits in a brew with my old self!!! I love the change....there’s no going back now!!!
Your hip? I agree with IannodaTruffe & if it persists, get it checked
I just ran for the first time in three months - and starting the programme from scratch despite being a 5 and a 10 K graduate before my hip popped - this morning after having a hip dislocate. I have been going through intensive Physio and am ALMOST pain free...but getting in and out of the car still gives me a shot of pain. I would urge you to be cautious about what you are experiencing and play safe. Hope it is just some transitory niggle and wishing you many happy miles in your future.
We get niggles, it goes with the territory. You know when it needs attention when it keeps you awake or goes on for a few days
I rotate my running shoes and try and keep my hips warm when running
I do yoga at home, just beginner stuff but I find it amazingly good. There are some oh-so-simple stretch moves,,which free you up nicely We get imbalances, so one half of our body takes all the hammer.
