Do you get emotional after completing a run?

Completely didn't expect this but I didn't believe I could run 3 min's let alone complete w3r1 and having completed the run I actually felt proud, even though I know I jog slowly. I felt like crying that I had actually completed this it felt euphoric and really makes me think that perhaps I can do more than I belive I can. I know it is early days but this is really something to build on

I don't think you're on your own in this thinking😬 I think the mental boost is as positive a feeling as the physical improvements

Totally understand your feeling! Sometimes I feel overwhelmed. A mix of being proud, surprised at myself, happy and relieved that I am finally doing it. I can relate to feeling emotional! It is very positive and definitely something to build on!

I'm a bit jealous because you have a lot of moments like this coming up.

Nothing wrong with feeling emotional about your achievements. The best is yet to come... keep going and enjoy yourself.

Well done! yes, my wife was the same, emotional when she first ran for 30 mins.. and couldn't believe she had just done the run, I knew she had because I was with her..

I felt euphoric in c25k, I think we tend to knock ourselves a lot, thoughts being we can't do things when actually we can with a little belief..😊

I can totally relate, exactly the same for me after I manage to do all of w1. For me it was all about proving myself wrong as didn't believe in a million years I would be out there running. Keep going and good luck ☺

A great run!

I walked back into my kitchen, there stands my hubby and as usual I heard “how was it?”. I ran 5k...boo hoo hoo! I couldn’t believe how tearful I was.

Those are good moments aren’t they?

Congrats. You deserve a good cry after that. It's a great feeling when you realise you can run after all. Exercise also brings out emotions so that there may be a bit of that going on too.

Yes...thats happened to me a few times 😊

I once was in the gym almost at the end of my first 20 mins run and listening to “pour some sugar on me” Def Leppard and had a “euphoric” moment - I had to check around afterwards to make sure nobody was staring at me as I was sure I looked like a complete loon I was grinning so much. Not a usual choice of tune for me but really helped get me through. I’m listening outside next time tho - less people!
