Sticking with 2.5km for now

So I have successfully run 3 times in a week for the first time in 16 weeks! I am so happy but am taking it super easy and run/walking 2.5km as to build up the muscle, I don’t ever want to have a sore knee again!

Although it was bright and sunny it was cold! Feeling the wind on my face was great and knowing I was working hard felt great too!

I didn’t use the podcast today, as I’m trying to keep the kilometres down and the podcasts are too long or too easy. I just wanted to go with the flow and see what happened. I did walk to warm up and cool down but ran for a few minutes and then did a recovery walk and then set off running again. I was surprised that I could run for as long as I did. I need to keep working in this way, and so am going to download some of my favourite songs to pass the time. I might try a story or listen to the radio next time. Endless possibilities await me and it makes me really happy to be able to get out there and do it!

I am now going to lie in the bath and drink lots of water! X

This is brilliant.. you are making excellent progress...the key is, as you say, taking it gently.
