I wasn’t really in the mood to run today. I woke up this morning with muffled hearing in both ears after 2 days of really itchy ears that was driving me nuts! I am guessing it’s a ear infection which is recurrent problem for me😡 As there was no pain and I wasn’t feeling ill, I promised myself that I will go for run today. Come evening, I somehow managed to drag myself out the door and complete the run. The fresh air was lovely but the run itself wasn’t so much fun, especially that last minute. But, I feel good for getting outside and my mood has definitely lifted.
Also, I currently run with my phone in my pocket of my fleece waistcoat which works for me now. But, I am finding it a little hard to find running things with pockets and it might be nice to have other options. I was wanting to try those phone holders that you wrap around your arm but I am little paranoid that my phone will fall out or the band will come lose as I run! If anyone has used them, would you recommend? Also, what do runners who run with phones do with them?

Some people like armbands. I tried and didn't work for me. But it didn't fell down or out. I just didn't feel comfortable.
I have this small waist bag that I bought in Sports Direct (I think) just to check it out. And I'm very happy with it. Well it wasn't perfect untill I invested in wireless headphones, as the jack was really bend due to small pocket and not enough space for it. Make sure your phone will fit nicely in, as we all have different sizes.
I use it every run- it's fitted right and only one hole to fit the phone in facing up do it's never fell out. They're very cheap too you can get them at places like home bargains or Amazon.

I use a flipbelt. It was recommend to me by a lady at work that does 1/2 marathons. I got the one with a zip section. Essentially it's a pocket that goes all the way round the belt. It doesn't slip and you can wear it at a height that suits you ie your waist or hips. I put my phone in one of the pocket openings then feed the earphone cable up the inside if my top to stop it flapping around. Even with bulky car keys and phone it's still really comfortable to wear.
Can also be used on holiday to help protect you from pick pockets.
Not the cheapest solution but imho worth the money.
I have been using an elasticated arm band which was great, but is now too loose. I've switched to an arm band with velco which works fine although I have to take my phone out of it's holder for it to fit. I like the sound of the belts that people are talking about. My running shorts or leggings have zipped pockets for keys.

Works fine. If you have a running app it is very easy to glance at your progress.
I got my armband off eBay for £3.49 Inc free postage. It's a velcro one so you can have it as tight or as loose as you want. Only thing is l have to take my door key off the keyring as the slot for the key is only small. Your phone wont fall out as you wear it the open end facing up. Works for me.
I had an armband with velcro strap but it kept slipping/turning so i went into good old sports direct and got a running belt - it's a Karrimor one and is fantastic. Wouldn't be without it. I use my back pocket to keep keys in though as too much jiggling and worried i will scratch the phone
