So I ran for 25 minutes continuously and lived to tell the tale! Absolutely buzzing. Out of curiosity, when did other people start to get a bit faster? Iβm a slow old girl π

Well done.
As the runs get longer you need to pace yourself, so you are unlikely to get faster until after graduation. Your body will develop more efficiently and certainly more safely by keeping to a nice easy pace.

Well Done Mabsabs W7 to W9 as the runs increase by a few mins I found my pace decreased slightly so the distance doesn't seem to go up. I figure it's best to concentrate on increasing one factor at a time so concentrate on the 'time' for now. I expect I will always be a slow runner but I expect to gain stamina so for me it'll be time and distance increases rather than speed. I'm built for comfort, not speed apparently

I have done one run post graduation and I'm still very slow. Somewhere about W8/9 my running began to creep faster than a very brisk walk by just a little bit. I aim to run feeling comfortable and just give a bit more stretch to my legs at times as long as I don't have a stitch. I don't feel as if I am getting faster but the numbers on MapMyRun tell me that I am. I am much more interested in enjoying running increasingly, than how fast I am. π

Well done, I just completed W6, it feels good doesnβt it. π I always hated running but this app and the posts from everyone has made it really enjoyable. Hope this feeling continues π

Great post. I only graduated this week, but had probably my most enjoyable run this morning which was slow and steady and over 40 mins but not at all fast. Biggest buzz so far which seems like ages ago ( but is only a few weeks) was my first continuous run. "What? me run for 20 mins? Surely not". Now its " What me, run for 35 mins?" Oh Yes.
This program is really special. Has anyone done any stats on overall participants? Would love to see, how many graduates, what ages and gender they are etc?
I'm also now runing for 25 mins but I've found that the more runs I do the more ground I seem to cover. Which must mean as I get used to the longer periods I'm going faster. Although I have to admit that sometimes right at the end I'm down to my 'shuffle' style.
