Week 7 run 1

Was all geared up for this run, early finish from work and some day light left and a lovely clear sky with sunshine and having ran the same length of time on Tuesday so was feeling good and ready but found it quite hard, my legs felt like solid lumps of lead and I could feel the cold in my hip joints!

The wind was much stronger than I realised and it was bloody freezing! When Laura said I was half way through I really thought I would not get through it but shut myself up and turned on the you can do this of you slow down even more voice and I did indeed get through it. Clocked my shadow a few times...looked like i was barely walking! Swore at her when she said to ramp it up in last 60 seconds too.

Weirdly, my tracker says I was slightly faster than last time too covering 3.3km instead of 3 which is odd because I really felt much slower! Perhaps the wind blew me along on the way back!

Thankyou. I love staffies, Have owned staffies for over 20 years. Best dogs ever! Sadly our Cass (brindle top right) is not with us anymore, she had a good life though and lived to 14. She was my first staffie, I still miss her!

Ah, bless her. We had a lovely little girl Staff (Ella) who was 14 too, but now share my dear old Dad’s Jack Russell (Harry). Dad passed away in June and H needed a new home, so my brother, sister and I share him
