I haven't posted in a while, but am chugging along and will be doing W6R2 tomorrow. It's going slowly, but is so enjoyable, and has worked wonders in terms of shining light on darker feelings and transforming them into strength and empowerment - that's one of my main reasons for taking up this challenge.
I only cover about 2.5 - 3km in a session - nowhere near the 5km. But I'm further on that I was 6 weeks ago.
Yesterday, I ran 5 minutes up a hill and it was exhausting, but wonderful! A nice sweaty end to the session.
I walked up the local hill last Sunday for the first time in 3 months and noticed a huge difference in my fitness level. Normally, I'd have to stop off quite regularly, but this time just twice on the way up to drink in the views.
I find this forum very supportive - so great to have it - and am cheering each and every one of you along the way!
PS Pic is the starting and finishing point from a Week 4 or 5 run (can't quite remember now). It's Cuas na Bhodaigh / Brandon's Creek in West Kerry where it's believed St Brendan left on his voyage across the Atlantic Ocean in the 5th century. Stunning place. And I wouldn't have gone there if it weren't for the C25K. Found it in my search for a quiet bog road with no traffic.
