PG run 2 mud mud mud

Yesterday I was up and out for my run. I was almost stymied 10 minutes in with the mud. The extra weight put me off my stride. I decided to change my route but ended up sliding through even more mud patches. The worst part was knowing I had to run through them on the way back.

Oh well not a pretty run as I was splattered with mud and had a runny nose. I left my trainers in the garage to dry off and I had a well deserved shower.

There must be some sort of gadget to help with this mud. Any ideas?

You can buy gaiters to go over your trail shoes to minimise the dirt levels and keep your feet a tad dry drier. Don’t have any though 😢😁

My filthy mud shoes have been drying out since last Saturday 🙂. I’m not washing or wiping them. They get banged together. They get themselves clean, eventually

You can dry them off and then brush them with a stiff dry brush.

There is a gadget though, yes! 😃 I’ve seen it in action on a film clip made by our local run shop, Runforest in Matlock. It’s on their Facebook page ! Go see 👍

Well done for persevering!!! I hat mud...with a passion!!! The field in the park where I run is like a bog in the middle so I was glad when the council put a path around the perimeter!! That’s when the parkrun started so us runners have improved it for everyone who uses the park!!! Just wish the dog walkers knew that when they block the path with their podgy dogs and mahoooosive behinds!!! Lol

My water-filled lake of a trail path has been done up at long last. No wading ankle deep in freezing cold muddy water Yay
