From dread to elation

I was dreading week 4 as I was sure I would struggle with the step up to 5 minute bursts, but I put my positive head on this morning and went for it. And it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. In fact I surprised myself. Kept my head up to enjoy my route along the canal and used all the advice you guys have shared these past few weeks. Focused on my breathing, my stride, my footfall and my pace. And it worked a treat. I was tired at the end but so chuffed that I did it. Now looking forward to W4R2. Thanks one & all; your stories on this forum really spur me on. 👍

Well done to you. One run at a time and tick them off as you go along 🙂

Well done, Sue! I think the programme is almost as much a mental challenge as physical. Just take it one run at a time and you'll be fine.
