Hi, I’m new to this but on week 5. Did the first run this morning but noticed the last one of the week is for 20 minutes! Any tips as that seems a huge jump?

Hi Jenny! I remember that run well. !! The programme is perfectly planned to make sure you can do this. And you can. I remember stopping for a few seconds then continued effortlessly ! Then week 6 will help you back into more breaks bt still doing the distance. No sweat, you can do this!! 💪💪😌👍

Hi Jenny

Don’t worry you can do this. It’s actually not as big a jump as you imagine. I seem to remember that in W5R2 you’ll be running 16 minutes overall, so 20 is doable, just take it extra slow and steady! 🏃‍♀️

I think this is everyone's nemesis run...it certainly was mine! Everyone was right though, you've done the training and you're ready for it. Remember to go slow and steady and keep going. The sense of achievement you'll have at the end will be worth it. Good luck!

This week has got a reputation.. and it should not have.. It is a week that you are ready for.. take each run slow and steady... and just take it gently!

Know that you can do this and believe it... the week is about discipline in our running.. and you will enjoy it :)

What helped me with this run...the first long one....was running ten minutes in one direction and then turning round and running the ten minutes back! I’m sure it was psychological....thinking, ‘oh! I’m on the way back now....!’ X

It feels like a big jump but you will find you can just run the twenty minutes without issue!
