I have managed to complete 2weeks of running ๐Ÿƒ and finish at end of week 4! Pushed on by my son as my 5k is in a few weeks. Not ideal but I am surprised ๐Ÿ˜ฎ and relieved that my body has coped and just how much I love to run with my dog ๐Ÿ• Lenny. Rest day today and still life in this old girl yet. I am so inspired by all of your amazing ๐Ÿ˜‰ posts. Have a great ๐Ÿ‘ day everyone โค๏ธ

Good marks for enthusiasm, but if you really have done four weeks of C25K in two weeks you may well be pushing much too hard.

Your body repairs and strengthens on your rest days. Without that rest you don't repair, you don't strengthen and you increase your injury risk.

I don't know what base level of fitness you bring to the process and I know you ran in your twenties, but expecting to do the same in your fifties may be setting yourself up for disappointment.

I remember advising you not to try to fit the nine week course into your limited time scale before your 5k run, and of course you may well get away with exceeding the recommendation of the plan, but it would be totally remiss of me, as a mentor, not to point out that your approach is highly inadvisable if not foolish.

I wish you well, with my fingers crossed for you.

I don't believe in miracles.

Thank you, advice taken..I suppose I will have to walk some of the 5k in my sponsored Santa race for Farleighs Hospice.. I definitely do not want to get any hidden injuries xX
