Well done !!! I am on week 5 run 3 tomorrow and cant quite believe it! I repeated a couple of runs after a break away - gave me a little confidence boost. Keep at it.

Good work!

I remember my knees being a bit "twingy" in the early weeks. It is mostly because they are not used to this running lark! Rather than repeat runs, you could consider leaving 2 days between each run? Obviously, if you are experiencing pain during running, you should slow it right down, or even stop. If it is just sore after, then that can be normal, and you just need a good recovery period.

When I first experience "twingy" knees, I started doing some knee strenthening exercises on my rest days, and it worked a treat. These ones on the NHS web page are easy to do, and are, I think, very effective:

You gotta look after your knees!

Happy running. :-)

Thanks Sadie. Great advice. I’ll have a look at those exercises. I think I need better trainers too. I’m enjoying it so far though :)
