Zombie run...

I did the Halloween Dudley parkrun this morning. It was fab! There were lots of people dressed to spook and scare 💀 , and loads of children carrying little bags. I followed a 7 yr old witch and her surgically dressed mother. She was skipping, running, twirling, and there was me behind her puffing and panting (more scary than most of the costumed runners). Rather embarrassing really!😶 The marshals along the course were all dressed up too, and were handing out sweets to the children as they went past (evidently 'go faster' sweets - I think they were cheating!). There were witches and ghouls , pumpkins and lights , music and lots of adults not quite making it up the hill that the children were sprinting up. I swear there should have been drugs testing for the sweet eaters. I was dubious about entering the woods, but we all escaped alive. I achieved an abysmal 177th place out of 228, coming in just ahead of the tall, white ghoul👻 ...but I think I got beaten by Death . That happens. 🙈

Just a few ups and downs yes! I'm always happy to have more excuses for 'gentle' runs! ☺

Do it! It's brilliant fun. It was only my second Parkrun, so I didn't realise we could dress up. I'm sure I could have found something appropriate!

That sounds so fun and a great way to get the kids involved. Nothing beats candy when it comes to motivation for the kiddos (and kiddos, at heart)

It was brilliant except that I wasn't considered young enough to get the sweets! 🍬 I can't think why. 🤔
