W5 R3 I couldn’t be prouder!

How did I struggle to run for 8 minutes two days ago yet I’ve just run for 20 minutes with no problems?!! In all honesty, I don’t care!! This programme is fantastic and I nearly jacked it all in today because of the gremlins, but I WON!! Breathing was a dream ☺️ I’ve got the bug again now! Have a great weekend all 👍🏻

Absolutely brilliant, well done, I'm 2 runs behind you, I am confident about run 2 but will have to force myself to slow down to get through 20 minutes as today I was running at 4k in 30 minute pace and that isn't doable for 20 mins!!

in reply toChrisAllen1

Haha possibly not! Good luck with the rest of week 5 😁

Thank you! How have you found week 6?

Found the first two runs a bit tricky but completed them. I enjoyed the 20min run in Week 5 so see how I do with the 25mins tomorrow. Just going to take it nice and slow and keep positive thinking throughout. I really want to do this. Good luck with Week 6 😀

Really interesting. I found W6R1 tricky too. Think it was overconfidence. Did W6R2 today and went fine. Knees a little sore so will see how I feel before the 25 min run. Like Minnow said, I really do find it amazing how stamina improves. Keep on running!

Very well done... have a great weekend and then..on to Week 6 and the lovely longer runs:)

in reply toOldfloss

Thanks Oldfloss, I was amazed at how much I preferred the longer run. Was really worried I’d be bored but I think there’s something good about not stopping and starting again.

Sounds like a great run Minnow and the ole endorphins are well and truly coursing through your veins tonight!!

Glad the run went well, I am dreading week 5, 20 mins sound like a long long time. !

Haha they sure are, they even ordered a pizza for me too 😂 I felt exactly the same, even 30 seconds before I headed out the door but it’s far more achievable that you think

Wow, that's amazing, you're amazing! Really really well done :) Sorry I didn't see this earlier btw, I struggle to keep up with it all sometimes!

I remember your first post... what you've achieved is amazing! Have a congratulatory hug (are those even a thing) and a cuppa!

in reply to

Thank you 😊 I know what you mean, it’s like a part time job keeping up with this forum 😂

in reply to

Yeah I know, every time I post something I spend the next two hours replying to things, and by the time I've replied to one thing another notification comes in. I would run in secret, but I find the support from all of you invaluable x

in reply to

It is definitely invaluable and I particularly like it because we’ve all been there and appreciate how amazing it feels afterwards. I feel like preaching about C25K 😂 you with me?! A new religion of a slightly different sort is exactly what this world needs me thinks x
