Is that you "happy pace"?

Hi there, I have read posts which refer to finding your "happy pace ". Yaaay, I might have had a tiny glimpse of it today (miraculous)!! Did W6R2 today- love those intervals- and somewhere towards the end of the 2nd 10 mins caught myself thinking, "this is okay, I could keep doing this". Astonishing!! 5 & a half weeks ago I couldn't run more than a few yards. I even overtook some people walking their dog (....yes, yes I know that is hilarious, but as one of life's snail pace jofflers, it was pleasing in a comical way.) Infact after that is when I had that "happy pace" moment. Note to self - must overtake dog walkers, lol! πŸ˜…

Yep... you found it.. it is what I have always called that moment when....you think you could run for ever.. the legs take you... you almost do not have to think about it...It usually comes in week 6...but not for everyone.

I advise folk to relax into the runs, here, breathe gently, start slow and stay slow..... just go with them and then..if you are really lucky..it happens... Well done you!

Slow is good... and if you carry on building up steadily, you will be totally amazed where you may find yourself... :) Brilliant!

Great advice as always thanks Oldfloss. πŸ˜€

You don't know your influence- I was cycling in the North York Moors yesterday and as I headed towards a 1:4 uphill ( with inner cyclist groans) your "slow & steady" popped into my head! It isn't quite the same on a bike, - but you will be pleased to hear that I jumped off before I fell off sideways. πŸ˜‚

Ha! Yes, I remember that moment too. πŸ˜€ I remember chanting to myself "this is my pace, this is my pace, this is my pace." It became my mantra.

Well done on a lovely run! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Thanks - I will just go really slow & relaxed. I didn't enjoy the first try at 20mins last week, but feel abit more confident after today. πŸ˜„

I’m also on W6 R3. We can do it! I’m going for it on Saturday 😱

Yes Saturday for me too. We can do it! 😁

I think my happy pace is quite fast which means I will never manage more than 5k but that's fine with me.
