Having gone through the NHS programme twice due to injury, and now that I'm fixed up again (podiatrist this time) I'm branching out into c25k Zombies, Run! I find running slowly in order to get back to fitness pretty boring, but the bad acting on the app is keeping me amused.
I think it's still wisest to stick with the NHS programme if you are starting out, but I do like the way this version integrates strength and stretching. Uuuuuuuungh

I recently ran 7K whilst listening to Zombies Run. I was collecting virtual supplies as I ran, as soon as my pace dropped I would get warnings to let me know that the Zombies were catching up. The Zombies were picking up pace and getting closer with 500 metres to go towards the end of 5K. It was hard, I was exhausted coming towards the end of 5K and really had to run hard. It was something different and gave me a good workout.
