Met report: air temperature 9°C, rel humidity 71%. Wind 14 m/s (“moderate gale”) => wind chill factor –significant.

Well, that went satisfactorily, as far as I can judge. Enjoyable! (And I never expected to say/feel that).

I’m gradually discovering what I need in running gear. I’m happy with my shoes (Brooks) and gloves; I use a sort of monk’s skullcap to prevent heat loss and the rain bouncing off my bald patch. Today for the first time I wore tights. For years I’ve been self-conscious, thought that tights were too … something … but now I just don’t care what anyone else thinks. My concern, not their’s !
