since I posted anything because I have not been running due to First Born's wedding, then I got the lurgy big time and then my back & knee started playing up. I did think that maybe my running days were behind me but then I gave that little thought the kick up the backside that it needed.
I am on holiday at the moment and although I brought my kit, I did not venture near the very well equipped gym until this morning ..........the gym was lovely but too well heated so a 10 minute run on the treadmill was extremely hot. The music was boring too and I had given my iPod to my OH who needs music to motivate him to exercise. I had to try most of the equipment so did 5 minutes on the cross trainer, 5 minutes walking as well as the treadmill running.. Then I did the scariest thing of all......I found the weighing scales and stood on it - did I like the numbers coming up? I certainly didn't so, as my back only twinged a tad (long standing issue) and my knee did not at all, I am back to running. Starting C25K from week 7 (again) tomorrow.
Happy running everyone. x

It's tough isn't it.....life is so busy and then there's illness and injury. However, you are a runner and you are BACK. Well done I just looked at your profile and you have many months of running under your belt, so I am sure you will soon be back to form. Enjoy!
I couldn’t wait till tomorrow so as we have moved hotels, I donned my kit, found the gym & completed a 3k run and feel fab. Slow pace today as I haven’t run for 5 weeks but it felt wonderful. It has revived my running & healthy eating mojo - whoo hoo. Thanks for all your encouragement xxx
