Six weeks ago I couldn’t run a minute without puffing and panting. Today I ran 25 minutes, and, at the one minute to go warning, had enough left in me for a sprint finish.
I’m pacing myself well, but wondering if I should be pushing a little bit harder, as I always have enough left in the tank for a big push at the end (or have most of this week anyway). So far I’ve been very focussed on just getting to the end without running out of legs/puff.
Is it worth pacing up a little and seeing if I can still manage to complete? Or should I just carry on at my similar-to-walking pace and be more confident of finishing each run?
Very proud to have made it this far... and it means I’ve earnt a shopping trip this weekend! New trainers time

The app allows for you to wind up the pace a bit, I can certainly recall Mr Smooth saying to me that I might like to consider increasing my speed.
The only thing I'd say is that I wouldnt let the pursuit of speed knock you off track doing the time. The speed does come later...
Good luck whichever route you choose to your podium place
The plan doesn't ask for speed but because I found the early weeks so easy I ran the whole programme as fast as I could......... I survived.
Probably best to start each new week cautiously and wind up the pace as you work through the runs. Maximum sustainable pace will probably be defined by your ability to breathe.
Just a reminder, the harder you push the more you increase your injury risk.
Wise words on here already, I don't feel expert enough to comment but just wanted to say well done, you should be proud of yourself, it's amazing. You definitely deserve those trainers :).
