Tonight I had a gait analysis and then got fitted for some new trainers, the colour of which I am sure can be seen from outer space and I do not like at all but if they help me with the prevention of a knee injury and shin splints it matters not.
Then did I need help with anything else?
Did I really? No of course not but I still came out of the shop with my new trainers plus a new pair of running leggings (with drawstring in the waistband) and a set of bone conduction headphones and £200 missing from my bank account.
Well I'm not smoking any more so why not.... after all, in the words of L'Oreal - I'm worth it!

Ooh! I am super envious of your running tights with drawstrings in! I hate those bright trainers too -- I managed to luck into a pair that I love that are...grey! Happy me, but I'm sure you'll get used to them!
I am quite conservative so getting used to them will be difficult but once I wear them out in the mud and puddles I am sure that will soften their glow a tad. Must admit though they feel like clouds so fingers crossed 😊
I feel your pain. BUT your health and fitness will benefit and you can't place a price on your health.
I'm starting to spend money on kit whereas before I did my best to get by with cheap stuff. Once you buy a nice bit of kit, there's no going back! I invested in good trainers from the start because I have a dreadful gait which just invites injury BUT in the past week or so have found myself buying hi-viz stuff and baselayers as the weather gets colder. However, running is still a relatively cheap sport and I'm not sure there's a buzz quite like the post-run buzz!
Well I can easily afford it with all the money I've saved not smoking any more so double health benefits. Just must learn not to be so mean with myself. Happy to spend on others just not me usually. 😊
