W5R1 ... nailed it ...

Tonight was a huge step up from W4R3, Not in terms of the time spent running, that's actually 1 minute less in W5R1, but 3, 5 minute runs ... πŸ™„ ... hard work ...

But as Mr Jordan kept saying to me, you have done all the ground work, you can definitely do this... and with his input at strategic points I'm pleased to say that I definitely did it ...

By the end of the last run I was doing a lot, A LOT, of clock watching, counting down that last minute, would it never end .... and, oh my, did I need that shower afterwards... phew ..

Apparently W5 is three different runs, I've not checked what pleasures the next run holds, I think I prefer that to be a surprise ... though not the kind of surprise I got when I looked in the mirror before leaving the changing room before the run... (wondered why the big guy was giving me the eye ... ;-) )could see my pants (hearts and flowers) through the yellow stripe of my new leggings ... 😳 good job I also had the blue ones ... 😊 will have to watch what I wear for my up coming fun run, don't want it to be funny for everyone but me ... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

It’s a step you stepped up to.

Fancy knickers and everything.

Ignore the watch / time. Looking at it won’t make it change.

When MJ says you’re doing great (because you are!) and you have just 5 minutes left then work out that it’s 1.6km to every mile so how many km do you need to run in a year to run from where you live to (pick somewhere) if you were running 3 times a week and average 8min / km.

Maybe I just need to speak to people and get out more :)

You will LOVE week 5

Hey, thanks for your kind words, I like the idea of running to a destination, even if it's just to Cleethorpes, a place I actually love, it's 63 miles, and I'm calling that 100k (it's just over), 3.5k today ... 96.5k to go ... I'm having fish and chips when I get there.

Less fancy pants next time cos I really want to wear the yellow stripe leggings ... I'm no wall flower, hate drab running gear ...

There is no β€˜just calling’

So it’s 63 Miles at 1.6

The amount of marker pen minion yellow I am wearing I look like a bl**dy wallflower

I think making folk smile can be fun.. I have entertained folk with many aspects of my running:)

Very well done you... just take each run steadily and know that you will do the runs. You are ready for each one:)

Keep running - I've loved Wk5 so far.

It's certainly different ... the longer runs, at a slower speed, are are a great achievement to complete.... and well done you on your progress ...

Thanks 'buddie', running before work is not in my repertoire, yet, good luck with that, and I look forward to hearing about your progress, there are a few of us at or around the same point in the program ...

Let us know how your run went...

Great running. The leggings sound lush, I think we need a photo!

My sister is transitioning but refuses to go out running as she feels too conspicuous. I shall tell her about your fancy pants and lurid leggings. πŸ€“

Mmm, I'll have to think about that ... making me blush 😊 ...

This is probably, slightly, off topic, but ....

Tell your sister to get out there and not to worry what other folks think, no one takes a blind bit of notice, except for "oh, a man in a dress, etc", and its very liberating when you realise that no one actually gives a crap .... I was rocking some great Purple nail polish in the Gym last night, a woman on the next treadmill gave me a good look and went on with her own run ... I must admit I ran better for it too ...

Could do with a form on here ....

Yellow is not a great idea, especially if it's going to get wet, (as I found out to my cost, many years ago, after swimming in a yellow bikini) πŸ˜±πŸ™ˆ Lesson learnt..!! But I bet you rocked them anyway (should have left them on, regardless of your fancy pants) 😊

Well done for smashing the first run of week 5..!! I bet you felt amazing, albeit a bit 😷 Really pleased for you, and excited that I (hopefully πŸ™„) will be reporting the same to you tomorrow, although I might be looking to you for a pre run pep talk πŸ˜‚

You're doing great. Enjoy your recovery day 😊

Mr Smooth has the knack of keeping you going, he especially likes hearts and flowers I hear....

Happy running in W5
