Still on week 2

My runs are getting worse. All these hills are really making it hard. Thinking of doing power walking between runs to get my body use to the terrain. Also I think the food my partners mum is making me is weighing me down - lots of rich food 😂 but it tastes so good

They will do, although going by your photo you are young, if you can handle hills, all well and good, you will benefit a lot from doing them, best to try and avoid hills while doing c25k, should make it as easy as you can for yourself, but sometimes that's easier said than done, but you are completing the runs OK? so you're doing really well, good going! Keep it up, slow n steady...

If you're eating loads of carbs that must be good to burn off, but don't eat anything a few hours before running..😊

Congratulations on keeping going despite the hills! What stunning scenery.

Hi Wellse, I live in the hills and there's no avoiding them either. For the really nasty ones, try the 'back stitch' method as told to me by GrannyHelen57 , choose a milestone when you're at the bottom of the hill, run up to it then run back down, then choose your next milestone and run up to that one, and continue until the hill is done. The run downhill gives you breathing space. When I tried this on my Slope of No Hope, I didn't do it all at once but gave my self 3 milestones to reach on one of my runs, and then 4 on the next one. It worked brilliantly. But its early days, so I would try power walking one of your routes, you could then mentally work out whether it would be possible to synch your walking intervals on a normal run with a hill. It doesn't always work, but worth a go.

Good look with them thar hills...
