No not something that can't be posted on a running forum but the number of runs I have left remaining and which I will do this week, I'm off for a 2 day meeting Tuesday/Wednesday this week and then I fly over to Ireland on Sunday for the week, the running gear is going with me both times, the office has a fully equipped gym in the basement that is really, if at all used by anyone and the hotel I've booked into also has a gym
Anyway, W9R1, as you can see from the screenshot from Garmin Connect, Treadmill Running 42:29, ignore the distance as I haven't run outside with it yet and it needs to properly calibrate so it can do the treadmill distance correctly.
Enjoyed the run from start to finish, nice sedate pace, only slowed slightly for 3 minutes and then resumed normal pace. Back to slow and steady, don't want to risk not completing the runs I have left.
Mrs LeeU insisted we go over to Run Forest over the weekend, Mike had offered me the ForeRunner 735XT matching internet prices and I didn't want to miss it. I was happy to leave it in it's box but Mrs LeeU insisted due to the fact that I've got this far.
The watch says I've got to recover now for 43 hours, I'll do the gym induction at the office tomorrow and then maybe a little light weight training tomorrow evening ahead of W9R2 on Wednesday.
The data this thing collects is unbelievable, vertical oscillation, avg stride length, avg ground contact time, etc, etc, etc. I've found out though that my Resting Heart Rate is 54bpm, in this run today my avg heart rate was 143 and max was 165.
I need to look at the accuracy of the calories burned during this run but it's very much n line with what my old HRM used to come up with if I'm honest.
I'm not cheating by using my graduation present early, I WILL complete the remaining 2 runs, I'll even put it back in the box and be all surprised and happy when I undo it again
This may seem strange coming from a middle aged fat guy BUT I love running, it's so, what's the word, liberating? It doesn't cover it completely but it's a start towards something I can't really fully explain, all I know is I love running and I find I'm planning my days/week around it.
As usual, thank you all for the extra motivation. Happy running.
