Hmm. Actually, it does get easier, and fun too. You'll be surprised. Like next week or the week after?

Congrats for completing the hardest run of the programme!

Will get easier as the weeks go by. Just go slow.

Welcome to the best support network that any new runner could wish for.

Each run builds stamina and strength, so you can cope with the following runs. As a progressive plan, there is of course a ramping up of the challenge, but the structure is such that even though more is asked of you, you are fitter, stronger and more capable.

Easier? Any run, even for an experienced runner, can be difficult if they run fast, or easy if they slow down. Your pace is up to you, the programme does not dictate that.

You have so much to gain by doing this, so keep posting and good luck.

Well done on getting out there and conquering your first run! It gets easier every time, the hardest part is starting off which you have already done, in my opinion. Great that you’ve come here too as everybody is so encouraging and it really helps. X

This was my biggest hurdle actually - being seen and what others might think. I’ve learned to put myself first and put that to the back of my mind - it does creep back but I put it away again. We’d never do anything if we worried about others. I think most people would wish it were them anyway if/when they do see you. Those who do run and those who don’t! Well done for not letting this stop you 👍🏻
