Phone holder??

β€’31 Replies

Can anyone recommend a safe phone holder? I have one that straps around my arm but it doesn't feel comfortable πŸ™

I use a belt with a clear pocket. Works for me. It has the advantage of being a little less accessible and therefore a lot less distracting - which is a good thing, IMO.

I have a stretchy fabric belt (flip belt?) that has various slits in it so you can pop your phone, keys, medication, sweeties, bottle of beer.....

I've had a look at these on there web page and it looks ideal πŸ˜ƒ what about sizing? I take it they are worn more at the hips than waist?

in reply to

I wear mine at the hip. You can even buy a teeny weeny water bottle, pointless but cute πŸ˜ƒ

Lol thank you I do think I will be trying one out 😊

I bought one of those arm things too, nope no good for me either. I just tuck mine into my ShockAbsorber running bra now, nothing moves in that bad boy lol :0)

in reply to J9_54

Ah down the bra why did I not think of that πŸ€” what about keys then??

I only take a door key and that goes in the little zip pocket of my running leggings on the back. Karrimoor.

Sorry, this may be TMI so close your eyes just in case! :D

My concern about tucking my phone into my bra would be the sweat. I sweat a lot when I run and I'm not sure if my phone can swim :(

Make a little pouch for it out of a flannel or a sock. That should keep it dry. 😊

Good idea, thank you, but luckily I'm happy with my arm band :)

I bought a top fit running belt from amazon. Cost Β£10. It’s really good but other than iPhone/keys cannot get anything else in. Maybe I brrr a flip belt?

in reply to KimLoulou

*I'm not promising that the beer will fit

Better drink it first then

in reply to KimLoulou

*i am not advocating drinking beer whilst running 🀣

I have a small running bag from Decathlon as i dont like phone holders or bum bags haha πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ its about Β£9 or Β£10 & its like a pouch that does up over your shoulder & sits on yout chest at the front so you can easily get into it whenever you need to.big enough for phone, keys x

Still have a cleavage issue even tough the cup size is correct?? Is yours true to size?

icklegui profile image
ickleguiGraduate in reply to

I've got a weird one, the AA4891 - the cups are ok but the band is bigger than it should be - not insurmountable.

Good to know about the Sonic, I thought it looked great. Can't easily find my size to try on so when they aren't true to size it's annoying. I get that bras are complicated but sometimes they're so off!

PS Shock absorbers I've heard they run small, I've tried the "4490" and blimey it's tiny. Don't know what their "Ultimate Run" is like size-wise but hear that it's amazing.

There's a lot of variety in the comfort of arm phone holders. The only way to find out if they work for you is to go and try them on. I have bought at least four from the internet and discovered that for whatever reason they aren't comfortable or I don't like the way they fasten.

Unless it's that you just don't like having something on your arm, in which case a flip belt or similar may work better for you.

I recently bought a flip belt and am very pleased with it.

Just a thought for everyone who runs with their phone not immediately obvious (i.e. tucked away somewhere), if you have your ICE info on your phone, you might also want to display it somewhere more easily accessible if you have a health condition. I run with my phone in an arm band so the info is easy to get at but I've also had it engraved on a dog tag :D and stitched that to the arm band. Just in case - but I have asthma and epilepsy so I take a belt and braces approach in case I keel over and someone doesn't think to check my phone :D
