Storing phone!

Hi, I’m not on week 3 of couch to 5k and I’m struggling to find a good way to keep my phone secure whilst I run. Any tips?

👋welcome Tooshay Well done on getting to W3. I bought some running tights that have a zip pocketover the back. I slip my phone out it’s case and in there. You can get Velcro arm bands too but Mine kept slipping so prefer the back pocket!

I use a bum bag by ‘MyCarbon’. Enough room for my phone & keys whilst still being comfortable to wear during my run. Use wireless Bluetooth headphones but bag has hole for wired. Enjoy your running 😊👍

Bluetooth headphones definitely a bonus.

I have a bum bag but I find it a bit bulky. I've just bought my daughter in law an elasticated running belt. I was sceptical, thinking you wouldn't fit much in and things would fall out but it's something of a revelation: fits keys and phone securely and I'm assured very comfortable. I'm about to order one for myself.

I find my FB finburst belt great for phone and keys

Just checked it out, jooks good 👍. I think I'd prefer that design to my bum bag that sticks out even when it's empty. The one I bought as a gift was a Flo Fitness running belt.

I use one of the arm bands. I think it’s just personal preference really so could be a case of trial and error.

I use an armband , but it can slip sometimes . (I'm hoping it's because my arm got leaner)...lots of people like running belts. Think I may get one as I need somewhere to put my car key too. I've been keeping it in my bra, but with the extra layers for the cold weather, it can be a bit awkward to get the key out 😂.

Welcome to the forum and well done

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

I use a cheap running belt from Sports Direct......still going strong after six years, but it does depend on the size of your phone.

Enjoy your journey.

I would recommend Flipbelt- light, stretchy, plenty of space and a clip for your keys :)

I use a running belt to keep any money, keys or phone in, it depends on the size of phone or the size if the pouch with a zip on the running belt, the dearer belts have more than one pouch.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting to week 3, I have a pair of Decathlon running bottoms (not tights but not overly baggy either), my phone doesn't fit in the pocket at the rear so I have to jam it in one of the front pockets horizontally

Hi, I use this from Sports Direct and I’m really happy with it. I couldn’t get on with an arm band. I was always faffing with it! This hold an iPhone 6 and there’s room for a key as well, although not in a separate compartment.

I use a fli8in warmer weather, when its cooler I use a thinsulate running jacket with zip pockets ( m and s, but if phones get bigger it will be year round flipbelt!!)

I have a Flipbelt which, so far, is my best bit of kit. Google it!

A pouch strapped around the waist or I used a velcro armband to carry my classic ipod

I got this one...

And it is really good. Stretches, lots of give and fits my phone, which is not small, and my thin gloves in the main pocket. Also has a separate mini flap and cilp for keys. There is a hole for a headphone socket, but I recommend Bluetooth ones if you can.

Happy running!
