I started this programme in June. I'm 48, not particularly fit and have always like the idea of running (in my mind I'm positive that I will be amazing - in reality I could barely run for a minute). All was going well - I managed to get to the end of Week 7 and was amazed that I had run for 25 minutes. And then it fell apart. I had a couple of goes at Week 8, Run 1 and just couldn't do it. Then I went on holiday for a week and sat in the sun, drinking cocktails, reading and being super lazy. When I got home I spent the rest of August trying to summon up some enthusiasm to get back to running - it didn't happen. But this week, I've given myself a kick up the backside and got myself back to the gym. Too scared to start back at Week 8, I gave Week 5 a go - and it was fine! Run 1 and I could manage the 5 minutes runs, Run 2 - yep, 8 minutes seems to be ok too! Run 3 tomorrow. Fingers crossed, I'm back on it and will (eventually) have 'Graduate' next to my name!!!
