So, after finding some very plausible reasons why not, I finally did Wk1 Run1 last night. After a couple of 60 second runs I was thinking I wouldn't be able to do them till the end. But I did and I'm well pleased with myself.
Finally started.: So, after finding some very... - Couch to 5K
Finally started.
It's the hardest run. Keep going, you'll be like me, graduating before you know it!
Well done - you've actually got over the first and biggest hurdle - the I ought to, I will one day, etc....before you know it you'll be looking forward to the next run.
Well done, and welcome to the family Trust me on this, you've overcome the hardest part, the mental barrier, but yes, I remember that feeling on week 1, but you hung in there and did it. It gets easier, it really does, as you get fitter.
Yes!!! Well done...slowly does it 😉
Well done pmorley ! Starting that first run is daunting, but you have done it and you are on your way now!
I remember that the 8 runs in week one seemed to go on forever. The good bit about week 2 is that you have fewer runs- only 6! It seems to go quicker somehow.
Before you know it you will be well on into the programme and so proud of yourself!
Good luck! Be positive, determined and above all.....enjoy!
You did it! That's the biggest hurdle over. It will get easier every time. Let your body be the boss and go as slow and steady as it needs.
That is the most difficult run in the 9 week program because it meant to had to make the decision to commit to change.
And you did it so well done you!
Wait until how great you will feel when you complete W1R3 and have a full week under your belt!
But remember....this is a program designed to build up your stamina slowly over a period of time. So take those runs slowly. And then...slow it down a bit more.
The end goal is distance, not time.
