No more than the other 61year old overweight runners on here who are transforming their lives.

Welcome, you have made an excellent decision and congratulations on doing the most difficult run............the first one.

Keep posting for support and advice.

No, not mad, bloody awesome..!!

Well done for a great start.

Sit here for a while and have a good read. Hear the stories and read the comments. If they don't inspire you, I don't know what will. This is THE BEST place to be.

Keep the faith and look forward to run 2 😊

No, you are sane and brilliant! You are doing something so positive for your health. You are committed.

Just please take it real slow and have faith in this programme - it really does work. And check in here often - either to just read posts, ask for help and encouragement or to offer support yourself. This forum has been key to my success so far and I have learned so much!

😘👏🏃‍♀️

Nope! Far from it! I did c25k at 60, wife at 61 and others on here older, dear old floss will be along soon! Go for it! But, slow n steady!😊

Who knows? You may be. Impossible for us to ascertain.

Stick with this though and you will be possibly mad and faster.

Probably! Only joking, of course not! Non-runners might try to tell you that you are, but us lot on here know that it gives you so much more than just the ability to run/jog for 30 mins. Well done for making a start you won't regret it.

WARNING: it may change your life forever!

Not at all, you are very clever wanting to make the change. I'm not far behind you in age and have just completed week 3. It's been tough at times but I can already feel the benefits. Keep going, it will change your life.

This programmed is fabulous and combined with the support on here adds up to a great package that will turn you into a runner. It is an amazing feeling working though the programme. I have Michael Johnson coaching me....what more could anyone want? !! And bizarrely because my phone tells me it's run day I know I have to go...no excuses. I used to run as a child but never had any success in picking it back up as an adult. This programme has made it happen. I even had a couple of weeks off...due to achey knee...and went back to it. I love the structure of the programme...it really does work and the support on here is incredible. I can hearrange everyone urging me on when I'm struggling. Well done for starting on this incredible journey. I hope you love it as much as I do. Happy Running.
