Hi, I've got through all 9 weeks pretty pain free but now I've started To get sore just above my left knee in my quad muscle.
It doesn't hurt all the time and can walk ok but once I start going up or down stairs it really kicks in.
Has anyone else had anything like this? I don't know to just keep going or to rest a few extra days?
I have been stretching plenty and having lots of hot baths!!

Oh reluctant, you probably know the recovery drill of RICE, but I suppose it's worth a go at just resting for a couple more days, it's not going to do any harm to your fitness or capability of continuing.
I suppose soreness does equate to pain and the rule is ache is okay, pain no way.
I really hope for you that this is just a strappo as the Italians call it, and that a couple of extra days resting does the job....
Good luck with the r and r, looking forward to your podium post.
I looked into foam rollers and got really confused. I'm at the chiropractor I'm at couple and was gonna ask him about them. I keep reading conflicting stuff about them. Some say like you that they are great and others say stay clear and don't use them, that they only cause more damage. Don't know what to do!
Yes they could cause damage if they're not used properly. There is a right way so ask Mrs Google or your chiropractor or at a gym. All I can say is that I've used mine religiously for the four years I've been running and they've got rid of some knots and tight spots very quickly.
Every physio I've seen (I've seen a few 😕) has recommended them and I reckon they know more than I do.
😂 I know! Didn't want to say too much before you experienced it 😩 The first time I used one on my calves I literally screamed like a baby. But stick with it, the more you use it the less it hurts. Honest.
