Woohoo!!! First run of week 2 is DONE!!! I had to pause a couple of times down to pain in my feet (terrible feet, bad foot genes) but I just can't afford new shoes until after my holiday. I will battle on but listen to my poor feet when they tell me they can't take it!! So pleased with myself! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Well done.

If you have bad feet then they deserve the very best shoes you can afford, preferably ones fitted after a gait analysis at a specialist running shop, which will show what is best for you. A visit to a podiatrist might also be worthwhile.

You should not run in pain.

There is an outdoor/sports shop near me that do this, I'm planning on visiting once I've been away. I have visited a podiatrist in the past to no avail. She said I've got the flattest feet she's ever seen. Bad times! Insoles and good shoes do help a little but just not enough unfortunately. Cursed with bad feet forever! Looking forward to seeing if a really good running shoe will make a difference but knowing that good shoes only help a bit in every day situations I don't want to spend a fortune just before holiday to find it doesn't do much. πŸ™

I have horrible feet as well! And am also in my Week 2 runs... I got new shoes last week fitted by a specialty running store... haven't seen much of a different YET, but hoping I will. I am going out for my next run in about an hour! Hopefully things get better for us both!
