I'm an overweight 55yo, Granny. I started Couch to 5 earlier in the summer. Loving it. I've reached Week 5 now. Starting to get it! Would love company (as long as you run slow!)

So slow! I want to run fast (fasssssst) but I just totally don't.

Week five is a GREAT week. You'll be so proud of yourself by the end.

You posted here, so now you have loads of company.

I am sure someone at the same level as you will come along soon and offer to be your virtual running buddy.

Well done you. It may well change your life.

Keep running, keep smiling.

You don't say what part of the country you're in? I'm 56 from Norfolk and a week behind you so I will follow your progress!

I found that after posting on here I never ran on my own again, even though the running surface of my treadmill isn't actually Gym size but it gets everyone one on.

Who cares what speed you run at, slow and steady works for me.

Run 2 of week 5 today. Gradual uphill all the way out and downhill all the way back. Looking forward to the next run now. Planning on a flat run rather than the pesky hill. Its my time to enjoy my Barry Manilow music without anyone moaning. :)

Ditto! Like you, I'm planning flat route for W5R3 - will you and Barry be running on Weds? Keep posting!

Thanks for the support. I did it. My flat was actually ups and downs but nothing major. It was good. The App crashed out just past 15 mins, but I'd got map my run going so carried on. I ran in fact for 24.09 mins back to the car! Then walked it off. Loved it. Planning to repeat it - because I can- on Saturday I run on the sea path some times and feel it would be a nice run.
