That was tough - but not too tough. My face definitely resembles a tomato, and actually, my legs look like I've been sitting in the sun. Generally pink all over today. But I DID IT.
I was perhaps a little over cautious in my pace - I don't think I even ran that slowly on my first run of week 1... But... Today I ran more than I walked. Thursday (week 3 run 3) was 9 minutes of running, today was 16.
My average pace is still improving slightly - which I guess means I managed to run slightly faster than my brisk walk - and I'm ok with that. I also pretty much completed my route today - which is 4.2km. Today, that took me 34 minutes and 47 seconds. Hopefully as my fitness builds, I can complete the full route, and maybe add an extra little bit if I find it becomes too short. Phew!

Various shades of pink, orange, and red are welcome here! All sounds good to me, whatever pace you are doing it doesn't matter (says I, who has started checking how fast/far I am going...) as long as it's sustainable through your run. The fact that you are indeed building fitness is indisputable! Well done for doing that run, it's a lovely thing when they say "you're running more than you're walking now".
