Just right for a 5k, nice and cool, 12.8c by my Garmin, 1st time out this Autumn for the long sleeves, nice and dry along by the road, sprint across the roads and along the pathway along by the field of horses and give a clicking sound at them from the mouth, they ignore me!π
With the sun coming out in places through the clouds, have picked a good time to get out, at the end of the pathway I do a loop around the lamppost and slow to go through the gate into the park always watching out for other people/dog walkers and avoid them where possible, giving me a 20 sec break! then upto a faster jog along the pathway under the trees on trail, yes, my Garmin still works under trees once it intially locks on, pace picking up, breathing steady, still watching out for dog walkers to avoid, nice & clear so stride on to the gate at the end and slow to exit that, out onto the tarmac near the road again keeping well over as near 40mph limit, no, not me the traffic!π,but a Porsche 911decides to do an overtake! Naughty! But sounds gorgeous! Anyway,I carry on back into the lane thinking, this is feeling good and know I'm coming near the end of my 5k and look at my watch and see 4.9, 4.95, 5.00.km, job done stop timer, but I don't actually stop for another 100m , never stop suddenly, just tail off and brisk walk for about another 1k this time and have a stretch.. some stress blown off & feeling pleased!π
