Although it may have been a little late in coming, largely because it's taken time for me to figure out how to create a collage, I finally provide a collection of pics, taken at the finish line of the GNR.
As the GNR is more or less upon my door step, rather than running it this year, I decided to treat a friend of mine who, on Sunday, fulfilled a lifetime ambition of seeing Sir Mohammed reign victorious in his first road race, since making the switch from the track.
Since 2012, when he became double Olympic champion, she's maintained her desire (in her words) 'to see Mo run'.
On Sunday, not only was her wish granted, she was also presented with the opportunity to touch palms with a Knight, as he embraced the support that helped him to 'kick' towards the finish line.

Great pictures, how amazing for your friend - couple of hours later you could have had some of me - but looking a bit like death warmed up!! He is a true star.
It's great to hear that you also participated in Sunday's run, ancientrunner. Regardless of the time posted, nobody can ever take away your finisher's medal, or the huge sense of personal accomplishment/emotion felt upon crossing the mats upon the finish line.
After all, completing a half-marathon is certainly no mean feat, so allow that feeling of achievement to outweigh any weariness that may still linger.
As we hung around until 2pm, there's a fair chance that you (and others on the forum) may have passed by me. If you happened to see someone close to the elite finish line, wearing a bright green Adidas windbreaker jacket, that was me.
