Apps for treadmill tuning : Hi I have graduated... - Couch to 5K
Apps for treadmill tuning
There is the bridge to 10k part of the forum, pop over there and have a look, mostly the same crowd so you know you are in good hands.
Is this a separate app theres one in app store £2,99 is that the one? Sorry Im a bit dim on the app stuff !
After graduating C25k this forum recommends that you consolidate running for 30 mins or 5k for a few weeks to fully strengthen your running legs.
Yes , you can go on to train for 10k and good advice on how to do that can be found on the Bridge210k forum on this nhs healthunlocked website, a sister site to this one.
There are rules about how much you should increase your distance by in order to avoid injury.
So, Keep up the 30 mins 3 times a week and visit the B210k forum.
Will do have just completed the first run post graduation sped up a tiny bit at times and ran for 31 mins . Didn't feel so exhausted at the end which I think might have been a gremlin thing, so pretty pleased with progress . Hopefully I will be running 5k in a suitable time for my 69 th birthday early next year !!
Well done Rowville, don't forget there is always running outside to try for a change maybe😆...if you do have a go, take it easy as it will feel a bit tougher and you will need to change pace a bit and run nice an slowly.
Have you asked for your Graduate badge on the pinned posts September 2017 Graduation Badges..you have earned it.😊
You don't say what you expect the next stage to be.
Some people just continue to run for thirty minutes, three times per week, others want to go on to run further, take part in parkrun, races, 10k, half marathon, marathons and ultras.........the choice is yours. But to be honest, if you only run on a treadmill, then I don't believe you can experience the real joy of running, which for me is exploring new and beautiful landscapes, by running through them.
You may find the transition to outdoors a bit tricky, but the rewards are amazing and far exceed the experience of walking outdoors. I hope you find your running magic.
