After graduating from the programme I've really enjoyed progressing through the subsequent podcasts to improve stamina and speed. I completed my second Great Run Local at the weekend with a PB 34:44. The fact I have a PB is amazing as I didn't start running until April this year. To those working through C25K you can do it! I was the most unsporty and unfit person and now I'm considering 10k. Good luck!

Hadn't come across Great Run Local. Looks almost exactly like Park run so worth knowing for anyone without a local park run. Bit odd to have two such similar organisations.

Well done.

You shouldn't be amazed to have a PB..........you only have to measure your time once and there it is!!!!

But you have to actually run to get one. Some of us are still amazed at the fact we are running (as are most of my friends who would never have believed it.)

That's it's SCB1! A PB on a 5k! I can hardly believe it!

Aww that looks a really nice place to run, well done to you. That's a fab PB, I'd be over the moon to have that when I do my park run on Saturday.

It's true what you say though, how these podcasts really help. I couldn't run for 30 seconds back in June this year, lol.

Keep going, you're doing really well.

Thanks. The stamina and speed podcasts are great. I found they've shaved four minutes off my 5k time. I want to get under 30 mins. I'm very pleased as I reached my 45th birthday last month and I'm probably the fittest I've ever been after losing five stone and running four times a week.

Wow, way to go kesmcg, that's brilliant. I've heard and read that running helps with weight loss. 😊
