Chuffed, nervous & a little advice

I am about to start week 8 tomorrow, from a complete novice & never expecting I'd get this far and apart from a wobble in week 7 (didn't leave enough of a rest between runs) I am looking forward to my next run (now that is something I could have never imagined myself saying a few weeks ago...)

I have not had any real niggles but after my last run my left achilles was a little achy - am I best to spend more time stretchin it out after a run, ice it or a bit of both - any advice most welcome

Thanks x

Well done you, you're doing great! I've found that soaking my feet in warm (closer to hot) water with epsom salt does wonders for any aches and niggles in my feet. They really feel so much better after that. Just let your feet soak till the water becomes room temperature. Hope this helps.

Well done! Yes, always stretch well afterwards, pay particular attention to always gently stretching the achilles, feet, calves, it's all connected, and as on the previous post regarding Epsom salts, some on here swear by it...

Stretch, soak rest...try to land lightly and gently and do not miss any rest days.. :)

Thank you, I've certainly learnt now I'm on the longer runs to leave an extra rest day, until I get stronger at least.

Will definitely concentrate more on the stretching & soaking & still looking forward to my first 28mins 😲
